A Kinkajou is a member of the raccoon family but look like a small bear.
With a long prehensile tail (can be used like hand for gripping on to branches) Jou- Jou came to
be in my care in 2001 after the sanctuary she lived had to close, she had previously be miss
treated and had a broken jaw. She is about 23 years, which is quite old for a kinkajou.
Kinkajous are nocturnal which means that they sleep during the day and are awake at night.
She loves banana grapes and honey sandwiches as a treat,
They are also know as Honey Bears as they are well adapted in the wild for Rooting in to bees
nest for honey.
